HINOMARU: This piece was created in the wake of the Japanese tsunami of 2011. Each day there are hundreds of earthquakes in Japan, mostly small and almost imperceptible, but they happen on a daily basis. The code collects the data from the Japanese Meteorological Agency, and shakes the color registration of the Japanese flag proportionally to the size of the latest tremor. The bigger the earthquake, the bigger the Hinomaru shakes. Click on the video below to see it in action:
